In 2019, CastingAsia truly came into a brand of its own. Having been one of the first to launch an influencer marketing platform in Asia back in 2016, the year past saw CastingAsia become the first influencer marketing platform in Asia to acquire an influencer network.
CastingAsia also took the first move to drive the industry towards more addressability and trust in influencer marketing with the launch of CPA and CPC campaigns and measurement on the platform.
There was also the launch of the CastingAsia Creators Network across the Asian region, providing influencers and content creators with resources, support, and consultation to propel their growth.
With such a vast spread of local support for influencers and content creators across Asia, the CastingAsia Creators Network saw many high-profile personalities join, including Japanese athletes/entrepreneurs, Keisuke Honda and Hidetoshi Nakata, Indonesian idol group JKT48, Filippino singer and actress, Angeline Quinto, Thai musician, แจ๊ส สปุ๊กนิค ปาปิยอง กุ๊กกุ๊ก, American gaming YouTuber XpertThief, and many more! You can find some of them on our creator list.
Towards the end of the year, we also launched AnyStyle.Tokyo - a network of expat influencers living in Japan that produce content in their local language. This allows marketers to leverage on the increased interest in travel to Japan for the coming year and beyond. Think about it: if you’re looking to travel to Japan next year, you’d search for reviews and experiences in your own language! The AnyStyle arm will subsequently be scaled into more markets in Asia, so definitely watch this space.
Below is a summary of how the CastingAsia business stacked up for 2019. Be sure to stay tuned for more updates in 2020!
